Some Strings Attached is a group of 5 musicians that met at the University of South Carolina and
initially got together to play as an ensemble. Their name represents the way they appear on stage:
a music ensemble performing with an unspecified number of strings.
"Among Equals" is Some Strings Attached theme for their fall concert season. One of the few
things that make their ensemble unique is the programming and ability to perform in subsets, and
as a quintet. They will be presenting pieces that include two, three, four, and all five members;
each has a role to play in the ensemble, and they view each other as equals. Some Strings
Attached also believes that we are among equals with their concert attendees, and they encourage
all to immerse themselves in a concert “Among Equals” and that the joy of collaboration reaches
the heart of every listener
